CJCC Girls Chess Camp is returning for this Christmas Dec 21-23!
CJCC is exciting to announce that our Girls Chess Camp is returning for this Christmas. The popular Netflix show "The Queen's Gambit" might be too mature for most girls to watch now but the Girls Camp will definitely help your chess skills get more matured and inject some fun activitives for the staying-home holidays. It will be held on Zoom and lichess.org from Dec 21-23 and will be led by Canadian real-life Chess Queen - WIM Agnieszka Matras-Clement as well as our long-time chess school coache and previous CJCC president Paul Gagne. Agnieszka is the top ranked woman chess player in Canada and had coached girls/summer camps in Calgary in previous years. Registratioin Fee: $20 with required CJCC membership. We can make this camp so affordable with a big Thank You to Alberta Chess Association for the financial support for girls chess developement!
Deadline: Registration is closed on Dec 20th, 8pm. Use the Registration Button on this page to register. The links to the Zoom&tournaments with their passwords will be sent out to the registration email once the registration is closed. Parents, please use your email instead of kids email for registration to prevent missing the important information.
3 Levels provided: Advanced, Intermediate, Beginners. Advanced level will be coached mainly by Agnieszka while Paul and Agnieszka will co-coach the other two levels.
Tournaments and Prizes: Optional Casual and CFC rated tournaments will be held with the lessons. Agnieszka will also run a Simultaneous exhibition with the Advanced and Intermedite levels.
