2019-2020 season is ending by end of June. As promised, CJCC is organizing more events for members in this special summer when juniors will likely spend more time at home.

- Membership Renewal:

To enjoy all our summer online events for FREE, members will need to RENEW their membership for 2020-2021 season prior to the first event. Please go to Membership Registration page to fill out the form and pay the $10 annual membership fee. The annual membership is always valid until next end of June.  From September, membership renewal will become mandatory to join any CJCC events. If you choose not to renew the membership now, a small fee will be charged for the summer chess schools and rated tournament events.  Renewing the membership now is adding value to your membership with the free summer months.

- July Chess School:

Upcoming the first summer event is July Chess School on July 5 followed by an urated Arena Tournament on lichess.org.

Chess School Time: July 5, 1pm (meeting opens from 12:50 pm) on Zoom for about 45 mins. 

Fee: $0 for members who renew their memberhship prior to the event / $5 otherwise.

Registration: Only online registration is acceptable and it will be closed by 8pm on July 4th. Participants must sign up on this event page to one of the 4 levels. The Chess School host will assign them to their level (breakout rooms) once the event starts. A link and password to the Zoom Meeting will be sent to the registered email after the online payment is confirmed. If you don't receive the email by July 5th morning please contact chesscjcc@gmail.com. The name on Zoom should use the student's name for proper level assignment. 

Tournament time:July 5, 2:15 pm on lichess.org,10/5, 

Arena length: 1.5 hours. Get familiar with Arena Tournament rules prior to the tournament.

Two sections provide:

• Beginner&Novice 
• Intermediate&Open.

How to register the tournament:

2. In the Message sent to the Team Leader to join the CJCC Team, you must provide the player's FIRST and LAST name registered on this event page for verification. If no name provided, the request may be declined.

3. Sign up on this page, however, will not get you to join the online tournament, You MUST do step 1 and 2
