MOCK "Rated" Online Tournament - lichess.org

To be prepared for our coming CFC Rated online touraments, we are running a MOCK tourament on lichess.org on July 11th 1:30pm. This MOCK tournament will implement all required controls as for a real CFC Rated Tournamements, the only difference is the result will not be submitted to CFC and it won't affect your CFC rating yet this time. It will give both the players and the tournament coordiantors an opportunity to familize the requirements and process to do a Rated tournament. Note this is a member-only event. Cancellation of March Events

Dear CJCC Members,

Due to the developing situation of the Coronavirus in Alberta and Calgary, to reduce the safety and health risk to our members and families, CJCC Board has decided to cancel the March Tournament and March Chess School scheduled on March 14 and March 22. The Board will continue assessing the situation and will decide in two weeks if the events in April will be affected.

For the non-passholders who have paid for these two events, the registration fee will be refunded. For the passholders, we will look into the option of adding events in June, or provide some discount for purchasing passes for 2020-2021 season.

Thank you for your understanding and keep healthy! Practising online is a best way to playing chess at home. CJCC may organize casual unrated tournament on chesskids.com. Keep tuned.
